TMVV at the Green Tent

EVENT: Sunday, June 10, 9:00am–1:00pm

Members of Transition Mar Vista/Venice are manning the Green Tent at our lively Mar Vista Farmer's Market at Grandview and Venice Boulevard.
Come visit us and learn about our exciting new and upcoming projects:

Good Karma Gardens:
A pay it forward community garden project. For those interested in more nutritious and cheaper food, and in getting help growing their own veggies and herbs,  we have volunteer gardeners ready to get you started!

If you would like help, you can register at the Green Tent.

Little Free Libraries:
http://www.littlefreelibrary.org/
We are joining the Little Free Library boxes movement, together with the Joyful Activists and Foster the Future. We have already built two Little Free Library boxes and they will be with us at the Green Tent, filled with free books ...

We will have information about how you can join the community of volunteers who will be building dozens of library boxes on Saturday, June 30. Come help us build and paint, and if you're interested, install a box in your own yard.

If you would just like us to install one at your house, you can sign up at the Green Tent.
You will be able to share books and conversations with neighbors and friends—another great way of building community.

Biking encouraged. Parking available in the Mar Vista Post Office lot.
