Change Your Fuel, Change Your World


Event: Saturday, July 10 from 7:00–9:00pm


This screening coincides with the two-month anniversary of the Deepwater Horizon oil rig explosion that triggered the worst environmental disasterin American history.


A film by Josh Tickell, FUEL is the only film that investigates the oil industry’s influence on the New Orleans region, providing historical and political context for the current disaster. The film features an animation of the Deepwater Horizon oil rig that collapsed as well as a former Chevron/Texaco oil executive detailing the hazards of deep water drilling in the Gulf. (Running time: 111 min., 2008, Sundance Award-winning documentary)
