Eco Movie Night: Trashed

EVENT DATE: Saturday, March 9, 7:00 p.m.

The reDiscover Center, Transition Mar Vista/Venice, and Transition Culver City present the groundbreaking docu-feature Trashed, which takes Jeremy Irons on a journey of discovery, disbelief, and hope. Each year, we now throw away fifty-eight billion disposable cups, billions of plastic bags, 200 billion litres of water bottles, billions of tons of household waste, toxic waste, and e-waste. Irons sets out to discover the extent and effects of the global waste problem, as he travels around the world to beautiful destinations tainted by pollution. This is a meticulous, brave investigative journey that takes Irons (and us) from scepticism to sorrow and from horror to hope. It received a special screening at the 2012 Cannes Film Festival.

Official film website: www.trashedfilm.com

Doors open at 6:30pm for networking and snacks. Join in a brainstorming session after the screening!

Facebook users RSVP via reDiscover Center's event page.

VENUE: reDiscover Center, 12958 W. Washington Blvd., Los Angeles 90066
