Introduction to Permaculture
EVENT: Saturday, October 31 from 1:00–5:00pm
Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Center, 13325 Beach Avenue, Marina del Rey, 310-822-9642
Permaculture is a creative and artful way of living, where waste becomes resources, productivity and yields increase, work is minimized, people and nature are all preserved and the environment is restored and even enhanced—all by thoughtful planning and a respectful approach to life. Thus embraced, we create an environment where all may thrive for untold generations.
Usually, Permaculture students take multi-session courses with practicum to integrate this novel way of viewing life and planet and design, but Transition Los Angeles’ Vidya Chaitanya is offering a single-session overview class. The first 2 hours will be in the classroom and the second two we will spent in the Learning Garden at Venice High School, a couple of blocks away. Meet at the Yoga Center at 1:00pm.
Fee requested: $30 ($20, if a Sivananda Yoga Center member)
